While developing OptimizeIT, we have placed a great importance on technological diversity and simplicity. OptimizeIT is a Web-based tool that supports all the main operating systems, including Windows, Unix, Linux and Sun.

The only requirement from the client side is .NET Framework 2.0 or above installed on the PC. The minimum server requirements are:

• Xeon dual processor (Debian is supported)
• 4GB of RAM (ECC)
• 4*72GB raid 5 configuration SCSI (15KB speed)
• Clean and formatted server
• 1GB network card

The data that passes over the network in one transaction from the client to the server is between 10-100KB – depending on the machine's type and on the number of users and applications that are running.

The client installation size is about 5MB for Windows and less than 1MB for Linux. While running, the application demands between 100KB and 5MB of RAM. The installation package is about 1MB for Windows and only 30KB for Linux.

The client machine is being identified by the computer's name. OptimizeIT easily supports complex network environment, such as NAT, VPN and Firewall, as long as there is connectivity between the client and the server (port 80 on the server).
